a challenge

after all the sweet comments and giveaway entries, how exactly do i repay you? with a duel, of sorts!

last night, whilst half-heartedly packing and whole-heartedly catching up on the Real Housewives of NYC, i noticed the, um, sad? pathetic? disgusting? state of my fridge...

which leads me to (somewhat hypothetically) pose the following two queries:

(1) what do i actually eat? b/c i surely haven't been cooking recently...

(2) can your fridge top this beast?

contents:
  • Pomegranate Boost Juice (expired)
  • Tropicana Orange Juice (expired)
  • light sour cream (expired)
  • butter
  • roasted garlic
  • 2 jars of Austin Slow Burn Pasta Sauce
  • Patak's Tikka Masala Curry Sauce (expired)
  • Pita Pal roasted red pepper hummus
  • a bottle of Moet & Chandon (soooo not expired)
  • one Mott's apple juice box
  • red potatoes
yep. that's it. wtf? pobre Evs, he is so screwed - i am obviously a crap-tastic home-maker.

  1. OMG! I LOVE roasted red pepper hummus! YUMMY! I like the Athenos brand. My fav! You just moved on up in my book. But, just so you know, you're fridge does suck...bad. Lol! Sorry friend. What DO you eat? :) Ours always has too much stuff that I end up having to throw out. Maybe you should come eat out of ours so we won't have so many leftovers. Deal?

  5. haha you are funny. The first things I thought of when I read the 'what do I eat question' was wine and hummus! hahaha. Our fridge is rarely empty. I've been a good fiance and usually make Ryan dinner since he works so hard all day.

  7. OK, so, my fridge can't compete, as it is overflowing with random food, but, I will admit that 99% of sauces, condiments and juice in my fridge are months (years?) past their expiration date. It's sad.

  9. Haha just pretend it's intentional. You didn't want to have to move a bunch of food!

  10. Yeah our fridge used to look almost identical but then I joined WW and we started cooking at home instead of going out to eat every night. Now my fridge is stocked with crappy WW friendly foods...well except fruit because I love me some yummy fruit.

  12. Millytini and I can TOTALLY compete!! We have butter, ketchup, 1 apple, 3 Blue Moons, 1 Negro Modelo, and a pink Brita. It's a sad existence.

Did Milly tell you I love your blog? I'm obsessssed. Pls continue to entertain me! Thanks:)

  13. If my husband saw our fridge like that he would take it upon himself to go to the store and stuff it full of fresh veggies.

There aren't even any take out left overs...so what do you eat?

  14. Sweet. Like a photo of my own fridge.

What you & I lack in housewifery skills - and, oh, do I lack them - we make up for in wit & stunning good looks. I tell the AH this all the time, and I think he's starting to come around.

  17. I would love to have a fridge that looks like that! Mine is the complete opposite- to a horrifying degree. As in, can't fit anything else in it, have to use a mini fridge as back up. I guess living with 4 housemates will do that.
