happy freakin' monday

this morning i groggily awoke, started to execute the 6 AM Stretch, Flip, and Snooze Maneuver when i felt something crusty underneath my arm. intrigued enough to further assess the situation (because i had just changed the sheets a mere 12 hours prior), i opened my eyes.

my curiosity was not rewarded.

The Boom barfed in the bed. and not just in the bed... she barfed while curled up next to my belly sometime in the middle of the night. thus = dog barf all over my side of the bed and my PJs.

of course Evs' side is completely clean. i can just see her thought process now... "wuh-oh. mom's gonna be pissed. maybe if i just quietly and slowly sneak over to dad's side, she won't even realize what i've done until after she's rolled around in partially-digested kibble all night. good plan. i am oh so resourceful."

that little f*er.

good thing she's so cute.

is it wrong to be lusting for CT so early in the week?

  1. Oh....gross!!! Aw poor little doggy. Though, it's hard to be sympathetic while covered in barf!

  2. I know I'm a couple days late, but cute blog makeover!

That happened to me once, only my dog had poo on his foot. They're lucky we like 'em so damn much!

  3. I know it isn't funny but it was freaking hilarious! I laughed but thought of our dog who loves to eat ice only to throw it up on the carpet every time. Why she can't make it to hard wood floor baffles me.

  4. Preppy Pug has not done that yet...he throws up everywhere else though.

Of course the spousal unit is clean. Doesn't it always work that way?

  5. Ew! That has happened in our bed before. Stinkin' dogs! But you gotta love them!

  6. Ok...I'm never going to complain when one of my dogs goes to the farthest corner of the room in the middle of the night to barf instead of waking me up!

  7. umm... it is not too early for CT and I think I deserve an honorary invite for this week since my dog has also been pissing me the f off this week!!

  8. I gave my puppy to my parents (who really wanted to keep her) when I moved to NYC like 5 years ago. On a visit home once, she cried and cried outside the door till I let her sleep with me. She slept the whole night on my head.

I woke the next morning to her crying and felt something squishy - she made a doody on my leg. Puppies are gross, but so cute!

  9. That's so hilarious and gross at the same time! How can you get mad at that face though?!?! I will be getting a dog soon after my honeymoon, and will definitely be having similar pet experiences, I'm sure.

  12. Oh my Lord! I laughed and laughed... (Sorry!) I mean, we have our own BULLDOG trying to sneak into our bed every night. And the funny thing is - she always takes FOREVER to make herself comfortable in HER bed, but once in ours, she is deep asleep and snoring within seconds! Thank God she hasn't puked yet anywhere near the bed, although she has barfed in my car. Yuck!

  13. Hahaha! Oh no! That's awful. Our pups do some of the grossest things (I have one sleeping on my lap right now with an affinity for cat turds) but oh, how we love them anyway.

Your pup IS darling. The cuteness helps.

  15. My dogs have done similar things. This mornings hell raising acitivity? Not nearly as bad as dog barf, but, did make me late for work: ran and hid in a pile of laundry and I could not find her for 15 minutes. Awesome. And yelling at the dog and telling them you are late for work doesn't really encourage them to come out from under the laundry. Not that I would know or anything.

  16. They are all SOOO lucky they're so cute. My cats and FI's dog. Especially on the rare occasions that they need to go to the emergency vet and I look at frakking inflated bill *@#$(%

  17. Oh, but she IS so cute.

Yeah, the things we put up with as far as the pets . . . champagne is definitely a valid coping mechanism.
