friday porn

One of the many, many design blogs on my Reader, I always look forward to i suwannee's feature "Bookcase of the Day."  My love of bookcases being proportionate to my love of books, I'm always giddy to see how people organize their volumes... By color?  Size?  All vertical?  Purist or mixed with art and knick-knacks?

and my hands-down, drool-worthy, gimme-gimme-gimme-grabby-hands favorite...

And with visions of copper pots and troves of color-coded cookbooks dancing in my head, we're off to NYC for some revelry with Millitini and these fabulous friends!  Happy Friday / Halloween / Daylight Savings Time!

  5. I'm obsessed with the color coded cookbooks. If I remember correctly isn't that Mark Badgley and James Mischka's kitchen. Swoon.

  6. We had floor to ceiling built-in book shelves in the living room/dining room/kitchen of our last apartment and I LOVED them. We have a built-in in our new place, but it is in the second bedroom so it isn't as visible in the house. When we buy a place it must have built-ins or I will cry! I love the color coded books, but don't know if I would actually do that.
