friday porn: upholstered headboards

So!

We are in the market for a new bed... a deliciously huge, more-than-enough-room for everybody {Boom included} {I know, I know} King-sized bed.

I am more than "pretty pumped," and absolutely lusting over upholstered headboards!

The colors and style of our bedroom are pretty much set in stone... We just bought Real-Adult-Person Matching Bedside Tables that coordinate perfectly with the corner hutch and my dresser {E's dresser is relegated to the closet as it matches his bachelor Adult Cowboy Furniture}.  And the new quilt we purchased right before Flood 2011 is kind-sized and ready for action {smart thinkers, we are!}.  So... Workin' What We've Got = Neutral, which I think is the right move anyhow for such a big investment piece.

I'm a-thinkin' something along the lines of this....

Which is fine and dandy and peachy-keen.

But a girl can still dream of something a bit wilder, right?

I'm pretty damn smitten with that last one... a DIY replacement for that E's dresser's buddy that's sittin' not-so-pretty upstairs, perhaps?

  2. We are also on the hunt for a king sized bed- the duvet cover had already been purchased, now for the rest of the bed! I love all these options!

  3. Oooh, so pretty! I love all the colorful options but like you, decided on a more neutral headboard for our bedroom. The Pottery Barn one you chose is gorgeous but if you're still shopping around, check Ballard Designs. I'm really happy with our upholstered headboard from there and it was very reasonably priced. You can usually find a 15% off coupon in Southern Living magazine too.

  4. I love those tall headboards you posted. I know Calico Corners has a new line of upholstered headboards right now and you could select the fabric in person. They are also having a sale through the 29th.

  5. I love the neutral one! You can put anything with it and when you tire of the look, you can easily change it up with fun pillows, bedding, etc.

  6. Love all of those splashy ones! I think you'll get lots of years of love out of a neutral one, obvi... but it's fun to imagine all the options.
