happy Martin Luther King, Jr. day! or, happy National Day of Service, if you prefer!

what am i doing to celebrate one of America's most inspirational and ground-breaking human rights activists, you ask? oh you know, suing some peeps and crap like that. yes, you heard me, Anonymous Law Firm does not observe MLK Day. i feel like this is a bit like saying, "yo, Martin, we're just not that into you," but no one asked me.

i am, however, very pumped about my very patriotic skinny latte that i picked up this morning... i was even more pumped when i thought that the quote on the cardboard-slidey-thingie (is there an official name for that?) was an MLK quote - "perfection!" i silently exclaimed in my head, "i shall leave my readers with soul-searching words to commemorate this day!" yeah, on further inspection, its a quote by Abe Lincoln. oops. but, since i have a feeling these two would have gotten along just swimmingly, i'll share nonetheless:

"with malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work that we are in, to bind up the nation's wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan, to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations."

and of course, something we should all watch at least once a year, and be thankful for how far we've come:
