are you KIDDING me, J. Crew?

seriously? SERIOUSLY?

where was this 3 mo. ago when i could have (kinda, pretended-to) justified spending almost $500 on a random dress?

the Silk Duponi Rosette Dress breaks our newly proclaimed "ask your lovely spouse if you are thinking of spending more than $100 on something" rule but 395 bones. and somehow i do not think Evs is going to agree that this item is a Summer Essential (even though, hellloooooo, it SO is!) ...

... fiscal responsibility blows.

  1. $100?!? You are a much braver, more fiscally responsible wife than me.

That dress is fabulous, but I know what you mean - it was so much easier to justify spending back in the wedding planning days.

  2. For a minute there I thought you were gonna say you didn't like it! Shew!

It's beautiful... find an excuse! A wedding, christening, graduation?!?! You need this dress!

  3. Hey! I have to ask over a $100 too. I think I do it about 50% of the time. I mostly ask if it's over $250...for some reason that's my threshold of money pain. :)

Great dress. I wish it wasn't strapless though. The {natural and saggy} girls do not like strapless.

  5. it totally does...

doesn't the fact that you are MOH in JAJ's wedding kind of justify it? maybe a little? ok, a stretch, but still...would be perfect!

  6. Oh dude. $100 rule? No thanks. I just have a "don't ask me for any more money than I already gave you" rule.

  7. yeah we don't do the $100 rule either, but Mr. M may kill me if I spent that on one item...oh well.

  8. You need to switch to the each-spouse-gets-$500-to-spend-each month rule. If you blow it on a dress you have to pack lunch and skip Starbucks for the whole month, but there are no questions asked :)

  11. *sigh* I wish I had the kind of disposable income that would allow me to spend $500 on a single clothing item. It's beautiful.
