lame

No "Respuestas" today... I was feeling a bit under the weather last night / really preoccupied by the laughably terrible new legal drama The Deep End, as well as Lynne's atrocious parenting skillz on RHOC.  And as a result,  my evening was spent alternating between pathetic moaning and attempting to figure out how I too may become a "youthologist" and flit around to rich, stupid people's houses in my sans-bra-airy-sundress, clutching my Venti latte and get paid to essentially tell spoiled brats to remove their heads from their arses and grow the fuck up.  Sign me up!  {Earn your "Masters in Youthology" online!  With only one easy payment of $499!  Seriously?}

Moral of the story?  I dropped the ball for today but will be back answering your queries on Monday!

Lazy weekend ahead... a little of this planned for tonight...

And then hopefully some of this on Saturday...

What's on tap for your weekend?

  1. I'll be curious your thoughts on Samar. A work friend went and gave it a very mixed review. Mr. A's been for happy hour and liked that.

I plan on whining and applying moisturizer to my nostrils.

  2. Ooh, full endorsements on both counts!! My fave movie of the Oscar year so far (and we've been playing the original tunes around the house nonstop since the film), plus I loooove Samar! It takes a few trips to learn your way around the menu, but I think you are up for the challenge :-).

  3. I just wanted to shake Lynne last night and her perpetually drunk-looking hubby.

  4. Wasn't The Deep End awful? I'm curious - do you think being a lawyer has anything to do with finding it to be so terrible? My non-lawyer husband didn't think it was that bad...

    Enjoy your weekend!

  5. I hope you have a fun weekend & feel better fast! I'll be doing essentially nothing. Drinking to my heart's content, for sure. ONLY 2 WEEKENDS LEFT.

  6. Those scenes with Lynne + fam were like the prequel for every episode of "16 and pregnant."

  7. I was screaming at the tv last night- a first year dealing with major clients! AAAARRGHHHH! A furst year even talking to a client AARAGGGHHHH! A partner sporting major cleavage!!!!!!! I mean, the only realistic thing was the passing off of the pro bono menial issue to a first year associate. Yeah, can you tell I liked it a lot? Hmmpph.

I am dying to see Crazy Heart. If I lived in Dallas I would make you and Maggie go see it again with me. It isn't even playing in East Tennessee yet. Anyway, sounds like a fab weekend!

  8. Alexa is beyond terrible. I realize, not being a parent, shouldn't throw stones. But, I literally caught myself saying out loud to the television"YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME."

And...is it just me or did Lynne's facelift make her crazy eyes...crazier? Lawsie mercy.

VPV is annoying and yet, I'm a bit marveled at her marketing genius.

  10. I'm totally looking into becoming a youthologist now, obviously. I think I would be good at it. You too. Considering we live in Dallas and are surrounded by those kind of kiddos. Am I sounding overly bitter today??

Hope you get to feelin' better my dear!

  11. I could not stomach The Deep End. Agree with a previous poster - a first year speaking with a major client?? helllo....we don't trust our first years to use the copiers themselves, let alone speak with the client :)

Feel better and enjoy the restaurant! It looks like a place in Philly called El Vez, which is fabu. Cheers!

  12. Yeah I agree, the Deep End was not great. I kept thinking of Napoleon Dynamite when I saw that girl. I'm going to New Orleans for the first time tomorrow and I'm so excited!!!

  13. Lots a Saints hoopla this weekend. Sucks if you are NOT a Saints fan. You should see these nuts. Tell me about Austin Kate. I am looking for a vaca spot, on the budget for the coming year.

Love the eggplant and yellow, and the skinny jeans. I am just going to have to break down and buy some.
Big Buddha Mia, last season, but I thought of you when I saw it.

    On sell at Macy's, Dilliards, and B & G.

    Have a great weekend.

  14. Ooh, I have a good one. Just got back from Canvas & Cocktails. An art gallery in Denver where you paint while drinking. Yeah, THAT awesome. Some girls and I went, brought wine, and took home pretty pieces of artwork. We'll be returning.
