friday {fall wardrobe} porn

I've read more posts regarding lusting for fall (weather, clothes, food, all of it) this week... it seems we all have that itch for a little nip in the air!  And seeing as my mind is all mushy from listening to the "winning" combination of The Worst Hold Music of All Time (that would be the Home Depot Flooring Department's apparent affinity for all things Nickelback and Daughtry) and The Worst Pronunciation of All Time (and THAT would be the word "measure" - Nay! - "MAY-sure" in the mouth of said Flooring Department's sales clerk... do you know how many times that particular word is said during a conversation about ordering carpet?  TOO MANY TIMES is the answer), I'm going to be none-too-creative and disclose my Fall Fashion Wish-List on this Fabulous Friday!  {Alliteration: It's a Cheap Trick!}

I think we all know how I feel about these beauties.  Need!  Need!  NEED NEED NEED!  WANT!  And they've officially moved up to Spot Numero Uno in my Anthro Queue since the front runner turned out to be a dud... I love it when that happens!

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous, supple, delicious, cozy suede!  And the color is pure perfection!  Last year I failed to pull the trigger on any pair of boots - so perhaps I'm allotted two this year? Also, I was wholly unimpressed with the whole "over-the-knee" styles that cropped up in '09.  But these seem more chic and less "Pretty Woman" - plus you can roll them down below the knee to reveal a metallic leather cuff!

I've been a vest convert ever since Maggie Gyllenhaal sported a three piece suit in the Dark Knight!  This style from Banana Republic is obviously more casual, but I love that it looks comfy yet still tailored (tailored as a sweater can be, at any rate).  Vest Runner-Up: Falling in Love Vest from Anthro.

I haven't bought a coat in 2 years... and there's no need to this year, either!  I've amassed a solid selection from Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sales and extreme mark-downs at J.Crew... there's really no reason to pay full price for outerwear when you live in Texas, as there are always plenty of gorgeous options still left at the end of the season!  But I might make an exception for the Kirklees Sweater Coat - it's the perfect weight for our mild Falls, Winters, and early Springs!

I wish this model didn't make these jeans look like the dreaded jegging... I think it's the poor choice in footwear... but Anyhoo!  Slim Fitting Black Jeans are a must on my list - and since I'm already a GAP Always Skinny convert, I'll be swinging by to pick up a pair in "overdye black" this weekend!

There's not a single clothing or shoe item catching my eye at J.Crew this season.  I'm not sure what's going on over there in their design department but it's no bueno.  However, I do pink puffy heart the Brompton Hobo.  I'm not in the market for a new bag, but I might just pop on into the store and see if there's a floor model I can pet for a while!

What are your Fall Must-Haves?

  3. I've been stalking that sweater coat at Anthro. It's perfection. And I might have to head on over to J. Crew to admire that bag as well. Sigh....

  6. both of those boots are amazing. i wanted to take the plunge on the over the knee boots last year but didn't. therefore, i think it's only fair that i get the chance to this year.

  7. I am in desperate need of some warm hued brown FLAT boots. But I am a size 12, 6'2" gal with giganto calves, so no Zappos, I do not want 4 inch heels. Sigh. I will live vicariously through your boots. Loving the mid thigh skirt/tight combo.

  9. those boots are so cute! I would love to get a new pair of boots this year! It has been years, there are so many to choose from, I don't know what to get! Since I'm pregs, the clothing purchases will be kept to a minimum so I figure that leaves more room for shoes and accessories :)
